Dr. Rejent’s 30-year academic career includes teaching at five graduate schools of social work and she has more than 35 years of clinical and supervisory experience in a wide range of programs, including private practice, a hospital outpatient psychiatric unit, a medical adult day program, a residential treatment center for children, and a university counseling center.

For the past 15 years, her focus has been on understanding the mind-body-spirit connection to emotional and physical wellbeing. Currently, she uses the perspective of Ayurveda to promote health and wellbeing.

Ayurveda, developed more than 5000 years ago on the Indian subcontinent, is one of the world’s oldest holistic healing systems. The word ‘Ayurveda’ means the ‘science of life.’ It is based on the principle thathealth and wellness depends on the balance of mind, body, and spirit. It is a comprehensive and individualized approach that emphasizes lifestyle, diet, herbal suggestions, yoga or exercise, meditation, and pranayama (breathing activities).

Along with her work at the Center for Healing Arts, she teaches yoga at Gettysburg, PA Health and Fitness, and teaches in masters and doctoral programs in social work.

Dr. Rejent is excited to bring the wellness perspective of Ayurveda to the Center for Healing Arts in Westminster. She has office hours (by appointment) on Monday afternoons, and other times with an advanced notice.

The introductory rate for a 90-minute initial consultation and a 60-minute follow-up visit (within 2 months of the initial visit) is $120. The total fee is paid at the initial visit (no credit cards accepted).
