“relaxed body…peaceful mind…”
Vickii Engel Thomas, MS, LMT, has been a practicing massage therapist since 1987, specializing in the relationship between mind and body. She holds an undergraduate degree in education from Bloomsburg University and a master’s degree in counseling from McDaniel College. Her certification in massage therapy was earned at the Potomac Massage Training Institute in Washington, DC.
Vickii has completed hundreds of hours of continuing education over the last 29 years. Her work with clients is strongly influenced by two advanced trainings which focused on the integration of thoughts, beliefs, and emotions with the physical body. In 1998 she became certified in the Somatic Integrity Method of Healing created and taught by Dr. Suzanne Torrenzano. In 2005 Vickii completed a two-year apprentship program in Conscious Living with Judith and Roger Roark. These, along with many years of spiritual practice, make her work rich, clear, and inspiring for many. In January 2015, she completed a 160 hour certification in Peter Mandel’s Colorpuncture, the use of colored light to treat acupuncture points and zones on the skin.
Vickii facilitates a weekly meditation circle and offers presentations and wellnesss workshops on the art of selfcare, conscious living, meditation, breathwork, and body language for business and community groups.
She is a co-founder and the owner of the Center.
Massage Therapy is now known to many for its stress-relieving qualities. Vickii’s approach creates a safe and calming experience so that you can settle, sink in, let go, and return to a more ease-filled partnership with your body.
Integrative Bodywork blends the process of counseling with the experience of bodywork, balancing your thoughts and emotions with care for your physical body and spiritual life. It is a holistic approach based on the belief that what you think, feel and believe produce an absolute and immediate effect within your physical body. Conversely, becoming aware of and working with the body can facilitate change in your thoughts, feelings and beliefs. Each session integrates body-centered dialogue, movement, imagery, massage therapy, energy work, and breath work to help you reach your desired goal.
Integrative Bodywork is effective if you are dealing with stress, struggling in relationship, feeling stuck, experiencing difficult emotions, wanting to take better care of yourself, or searching for clarity and direction in life.
Vickii’s Integrative Bodywork creatively and respectively supports clients in learning through their body to be more conscious, healthy and alive.

What Clients Say About Working with Vickii
“Well…you’ve done it again. I just can’t believe how much better my back and sacrum feel today! I’m so grateful that you were able to fit me in. Now, if I take it easy today, I should be able to go back to work tomorrow. I was worried I may need to postpone our vacation by a day so I could wrap up some work before we leave but I do believe you’ve saved the day yet again. I’m so appreciative of your gift for healing, Vickii. We are lucky to have you and the Center for the Healing Arts in our community! “
